Bibliotherapy according to LOE

Libraries Of Emotions for Good (LOE for Good) is an innovative European project that combines literary expertise and affective sciences to promote mental well-being through bibliotherapy. This multilingual project aims to transform the way we use books as tools for healing, reflection, and connection.
Our approach is based on a rigorous methodology where each book is analyzed by an interdisciplinary team composed of psychologists, librarians, and translators. Together, they identify the dominant emotions that each work evokes, enabling readers to choose books that match their current emotional state.
In terms of impact, the LOE for Good project aims to:
- Train librarians in bibliotherapy techniques so they can effectively guide readers to books adapted to their emotional needs.
- Design accessible bibliotherapy services adapted to different communities, taking into account cultural and linguistic specificities.
- Conduct in-depth research on the effectiveness of bibliotherapy in different contexts, thus contributing to the advancement of knowledge in this field.
Multicultural, transformative, and creative, LOE for Good represents a new way of envisioning reading as a tool for well-being, accessible to all, regardless of their language or culture.
