The unconsoled

Ryder, a celebrated pianist, arrives in an unnamed European city to give an important concert he cannot quite remember agreeing to. Over a few days he is pulled into the troubles of strangers who seem oddly familiar. A strange, dreamlike and often funny novel about memory, duty and regret.
