Син начальника сиріт
Адам Джонсон, Adam Johnson
Viktor Frankl describes his experience of imprisonment in Nazi concentration camps and how his logotherapeutic theories helped him and other prisoners survive those difficult times. This terrible school of life convinced Viktor that his method works, and he shares it in his book. The author notes that those prisoners who were able to find meaning and hope for the future coped better with the conditions of detention, were in better physical and moral condition, and even helped others — "...they are sufficient proof that everything can be taken away from a person except one thing, the last of freedoms — to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way." So the author puts forward the theory that a sense of purpose directly affects a person's health.
